About me:
I'm a young full-stack software engineer with a passion for UI / UX and teaching. I
believe that these two passions of mine share a common root: information
presentation. Everyone is different, and ingests information differently. This
sets us as humans up for many misunderstandings and copious amounts of confusion.
Because of this, my overarching goal is to try and make technology and information as
accessible and understandable as possible in my share of the world.
Primarily, I am a hobbyist programmer who has their hands in a significant number of
projects. Ideas are always popping in and out of my brain, and I love the process of
successfully making (an admittedly select few of) those
ideas a reality. My current project idea that I am focusing on is fusing together my
love of programming and plants to build a project to help people learn how to garden
and be more self-sufficient when it comes to food.
I am also an aspiring
blue teamer,
who is currently studying for a
CompTIA Security+ certification to back that claim up. Without security, the web
is a place ripe for abuse and harm, which is counterproductive to my aforementioned
goal. It is also a fascinating subject for me, as it bridges everything from math to
social interactions.
Last but not least, I have a passion for good documentation and knowledge bases.
(My personal favorite knowledge base is
Obsidian, I'll get to posting
my config eventually...) As a person with my hand in many projects, it can be
easy to come back to a project and be confused as to what I was intending to do or how
things even worked in the first place. And while I know that my experience won't be
universal, I do know that documentation is helpful for others who are trying to
understand what I am doing, which (if I haven't beaten a dead
horse yet) once again relates back to my overaching goal:
Make information and technology as presentable as possible.
My plans for this site:
I plan to make my website a hub for all of my projects- from software, to teaching, to content creation. Included in my lists of things to complete and publish are:
- A blog / project logs
- Content showcases:
- Photography (current project)
- Videos / Streams
- Completed projects
- Interactive Tutorials
- And more!
This site's design is also a work-in-progress, and I intend to showcase its development as a project itself. If you did not see the previous version(s), you can see the previous designs linked here. Each old version will be archived and noted in the sitemap when a new one comes out, showcasing the development / improvement process. I'm happy to showcase the improvements I've made, and I hope it may inspire others.
